Regency Ball

As part of our celebrations to mark the 250th anniversary of the birth of Jane Austen, join us for a night like no other. An enchanting evening of dance, drinks and delicious food! With live music of the era, we’ll also have dance cards and a silhouettist for an authentic Regency feel.

In collaboration with Laughing with Lizzie, our ball is suitable for everyone – beginners and more experienced dancers welcome! A caller will announce the dances and instruct you, with her assistants to help you too.

Whilst you don’t have to dress up, it is certainly welcomed and definitely encouraged! “Laughing with Lizzie” author, Sophie Andrews is a Jane Austen specialist with 165k+ followers worldwide, she shares her love of Regency life through social media, hosting events such as her ‘Balls for all Seasons’, and collaborations.

She has appeared in the BBC documentary My Friend Jane (2017) and authored Be More Jane (2019) and Be Your Own Heroine (2020).
