Vintage Bicycle Display: Veteran Cycle Club

Two men dressed in clothes from the 1930s standing with vintage bicycles.

11am-1pm Sunday 18 January

Join the Veteran Cycle Club at Winchester City Museum to celebrate the birthday of Dickie Frost, a Winchester resident and champion cyclist of the 1890s. Discover historic bicycles from the Victorian period through to the late 1930s on display in the Square.

Through Frost’s lifetime we see how cycling transformed from a specialist hobby for the wealthy into a pastime enjoyed by all, and for many an essential form of transport.
